US-WA-Seattle: QA Manager by http://sqa.fyicenter.com 12/19/2011 11:58 US-WA-Seattle: QA Manager To apply for this position, please visit this Website. http://sqa.fyicenter.com/jobs/99665731_QA_Manager.html To see other opportunities, please visit http://sqa.fyicenter.com Date: 19-Dec-2011 QA Manager • Participate in the product definition cycle to identify potential problems and edge cases early • Develop and maintain complete test plans for new features and existing products • Improve testing practices and promote automated testing • Own defect tracking tools to manage defect resolution across several application areas (web, desktop, mobile, camera firmware) • Deliver launch/no-launch recommendations for major releases • Ensure functional, regression, and interface testing across major platforms and browsers as part of the normal development and release cycle • Coordinate in-house and third-party resources to test across major application platforms. • Manage and lead the QA team • 8+ years' experience in software quality assurance or SW development, and a thorough understanding of SW life cycles with SW programming skills is required • 2+ years in a QA leadership or management role • Experience with cross-browser issues and testing • Experience with Macintosh and Windows application testing • Knowledge of standard methods, practices, processes and tools for general software testing • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting capabilities • Dedicated to achieving project schedules and milestones • Ability to work in a team environment with aggressive deadlines and multiple priorities while staying a team player • Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills • Strong attention to detail • Self starter able to work with minimal supervision • Accurately assess the completeness, consistency and robustness of software requirements, design and implementation. • Ability to work independently to create or update test cases and test scripts to validate features. • Ability to work closely with all members of the project team including software developers, UX and design, marketing and technical support representatives.
