Database Administrator (DBA)

§ Individual will work on projects in relation to Stored Procedures,
SQL, DTS packages, ETL work and MS Reporting services. § Create and
maintain Conceptual Data Modeling. § Knowledge of MS Analysis
Services, Star Schema, Business Intelligence Applications. § Create
and test Recoverability to include Backup, Clustering, Mirroring,
Replication and Failover. § Manage the Restoration and Recovery of
Corrupted Databases. § Implement the Installation and Testing of all
Upgrades and Patches. § Definition and/or Implementation of Access
Controls in the areas of Implement Security and Encryption. § Monitor
Systems and Platforms for Data Availability § Analyze and Sustain
Capacity and Performance Requirements § Analyze, Consolidate and Tune
Database for optimal efficiency § Set up Data Sharing and Disk
Partitioning § Build Database Schema, Tables, Procedures and
Permissions § Develop Database Utilities and Automated Reporting §
Evaluate and Recommend New Database Technologies

§ Strong oral/written communication skills and client interface. § 7
years of Database Administration for MSSQL Server 2005/2008. At least
(2 years on SQL Server 2008). § Knowledge of High Availability (HA)
and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for MSSQL Server. § Ability to work
independently on projects, as well as work in a team environment. §
Demonstrate ability to use and apply analytical and problem solving
skills. § Experience in implementing operational automation using
scripts. § Knowledge of indexes, index management, and statistics. §
Experience working with Windows server, including Active Directory and
Proper Disk Configurations. § Involvement with the MSSQL Server
Community; membership in PASS, active in forums or newsgroups. §
Certification is a plus; MCTS, MCITP, MVP § Experience in integrating
with ERP systems is a plus. § Technical degree in CS, MIS or related
field. Experienced will be weighed heavily when assessing candidacy
for position. § Successful candidate will need to handle multiple
projects simultaneously.
